Install over a wide range of substrates including plywood osb concrete gypsum heated floors etc. These thin 1 4 mats are designed with a stud structure that allows heating cables to fit snuggly into ensuring a quicker installation and lower profile than when installing traditional ditra uncoupling membranes over floor heating mats cables. It is made of polyethylene creating a waterproofing layer protecting the substrate. Ditra is 1 8 in thick and is designed for ceramic and stone tile.

The schluter ditra uncoupling membrane is specifically designed to allow the installation of ceramic and stone tile over any even and load bearing substrate. Apply ditra or ditra xl to the floor fleece side down. Schluter ditra membranes provide uncoupling through free space which allows for in plane movement that effectively neutralizes the differential movement stresses between the substrate and the tile thus eliminating the major cause of cracking and delaminating of the tiled surface.
