Ditra over floor leveler.

Hello i poured self leveler in my bathroom yesterday over my heated floor wires. What is your recommendation to install ditra over existing flooring. It is 6 x7 and the floor slopes a quarter inch over the 6 width. The subfloor is 5 8 t g plywood joists 2x12 on 12 centers.

I will be putting ditra on top of it and 12x24 marble over that. My initial thoughts include removing the existing finish wood floor then install ditra and modified thin set over the wood plank floor and lastly unmodified and ceramic tile over ditra. Any leveling of the subfloor must be done prior to the installation of the membrane. I used nova plan easy plus.

Ditra and ditra xl were designed and tested for thin bed ceramic tile and natural stone applications. For this project the ditra is being installed over radiant heating element embedded in self leveling mortar. About 110 square feet. If i use a self leveler on my plywood subfloor which type of thin set mortar do i used to install schluter ditra or ditra xl.

Ditra over self leveler. My question is can i install the ditra over the floor leveler or do i put down another layer of plywood 1 4 first. What do ya think. Ditra is a versatile product and can do more than just provide an uncoupling membrane.

I m interesting in hearing your thoughts before i begin my renovation. Can i use self leveling compounds over schluter ditra or schluter ditra xl. We recommend unmodified thin set mortar on a floor that has been leveled with a self leveling product.
