Usually a light brown color with a hint of red and or yellow with darker growth rings. These siding are offered with a re sawn texture however many prefer our hand hewn or wire brushed textures.

Unlike the lumber from most hemlocks douglas fir timber boasts remarkable uniformity of appearance.

In flatsawn pieces typically seen in rotary sliced veneers the wood can exhibit wild grain patterns. With its tight know pattern premium douglas fir is a beautiful wood to use exposed. In quartersawn pieces the grain is typically straight and plain.
